Last year, I asked all of our turn-key event promoters and international representatives to analyze the existing dB Drag Racing rules, and then present a list of changes that they felt would benefit the sport of dB Drag Racing. Specifically, I instructed these individuals to do the following...
Analyze participation by class throughout the 2011 season and recommend changes (if any).
Eliminate un-needed, obsolete, or un-enforceable rules.
Clarify or simplify existing rules (if necessary).
Avoid creating new rules that would restrict contestants from participating in dB Drag Racing.

2012 dB Drag Racing Rules
Below, I will explain the primary changes...
Street Stock
There is now only one Street Stock class.
The distinction between Amateur and Pro has been eliminated because this rule was too easy to circumvent.
The "consumer grade" restriction has also been removed because it was un-enforceable.
The maximum frequency limit for Street Stock was reduced from 80 Hz to 60 Hz.
The restrictions on vehicle make and model have also been removed because they are no longer necessary due to the frequency cap.
Street
A new "Street Trunk" class has been created.
The 2011 Street A class has been eliminated. The 2011 Street B class is now renamed to Street A. (If you competed in Street B in 2011, you will now enter Street A for 2012.)
The 2011 Street C class is now renamed Street B. (If you competed in Street C in 2011, you will now enter Street B for 2012.)
Competitors in the Street Division may now run their vehicles while in the judging lanes. This was necessary because many competitors were over-charging their batteries immediately prior to pulling into the lanes. This created a hazardous condition because acid was sometimes leaking on the floor. There was also the risk of explosion due to a build-up of hydrogen gas. In addition, many competitors would "top-off" their charge immediately prior to pulling into the lanes. These competitors would then want to be metered immediatley and the officiating staff could not always comply.
Competitors may now use up to 2F of capacitance in all Street classes.
The maximum frequency limit for competitors in the Street divison has been reduced to 60 Hz. This was done to reduce the domination of these classes by specific vehicle models. I completely agree with this decision as dB Drag Racing should be about the auto sound system and not the vehicle. I believe this change will increase participation in dB Drag Racing.
Super Street
There is no longer a restriction to the number of alternators that can be used in the Super Street division.
Extreme
All of the Extreme OS and Extreme classes have been combined into a single class.
I believe that these changes have been necessary for a long time now. I would like to express my thanks to all of our judges and international representatives who have contributed their time and effort to improve dB Drag Racing.Eesti võistlejaid kõige rohkem mõjutavad muudatused oleks näiteks see, et enam ei ole Street A klassi vaid on Street A ja Street B kokku liidetud ja nimetatud ümber Street A-ks ehk siis teisisõnu inimesed kes ennem võistlesid ühe 12" või kahe 10" woofriga peavad woofreid juurde ostma või leppima väiksema kõlari pindalaga.
Street C klass nimetati ümber Street B klassiks aga reeglid jäid samaks vist.
Väga suur muudatus on ka see, et nüüdsest võivad Street klassides autodel mootorid käia võistluse ajal.
Veel on muutuseks see, et Street klassides on nüüdsest kõrgeim lubatud sagedus 60Hz ehk siis Panda meestel on seis kehva, sest enam ei saa Panda kõrget resonants sagedust ära kasutada. See reegel on küll puhtalt Ameeriklaste välja mõeldud kuna nende kontinendil Pandasid pole aga Street klassides on Pandad juba aastaid domineerinud. Lõpuks said Ameeriklased oma tahtmise.
Ehk siis muutused on suured, klasse on vähem ja mõnigi inimene peab oma aastatepikkuse töö ja vaeva korstnasse kirjutama.
